These are via here (via Towleroad). Brando, all 25 strapping years of him, is seen here preparing for his film debut, a movie called The Men. The gist:

"The story was based on a group of returning WWII vets that had to cope with the mental and physical injuries of war. After coming off of his role in Broadway’s Streetcar Named Desire, Marlon Brando spent a lot of time at a VA hospital preparing for movie."

He would of course go on to make the film version of Streetcar the next year, and become Marlon fucking Brando.
