One More Blonde

/////////

I'm on a flaxen roll today, it seems. Maybe it's the onset of summer-like weather, got me feeling all beachy. Anyway, I can't remember where this morning I saw Anna Faris mentioned as being underrated, but I agree.

Yes, she's got yet another Scary Movie coming out this weekend - I've caught bits and pieces of the three previous films on television, and yes, they're hacky and filled with lame gross-out humor, but I still, even amongst the crap, find Faris to have a great sense of comedic timing.

And, on three seperate occasions, she'd had the chance to prove that she's an actress who's effortless at injecting some memorable wackiness into a film.

Exhibit A - May

Faris is a creepily sexed-up lesbian co-worker of Angela Bettis' weirdo May, and she steals every scene she's in.

Exhibit B - Lost In Translation

We all know Faris was ripping Cameron Diaz to shreds in her hysterical turn here; I wish Sophia Coppola would just come out and burn Diaz herself. That stump-necked freak needs a public beat-down.

Exhibit C - Brokeback Mountain

One small, maybe two-minutes long scene, and Faris left an indelible impression. Not that anyone would need an excuse to run into Jack Twist's manly arms, but she helped us understand in her non-stop cackle-a-thon what might've driven her husband Randall to leap right into such a dangerous situation.

Have I ever mentioned how much I HATE and DESPISE that goddamned she-bastard Sophia Coppola? Could she have *been* any more envious of Cameron while her husband was filming "Being John Malkovich"? Totally effing lame.

But, I agree about Anna Faris. I love her!
