A very disturbing but excellent film with top flight work by Linda and Richard Widmark, he was deeply troubled by his dialog and spent most of the shoot apologizing to Sidney Poitier. The two became lifelong friends during the film. Sidney is still a bit raw, it was his first film, but does well in his role.
