SVG got it, it's PS aka Purple Noon, aka the original filmed version of Patricia Highsmiths' Talented Mr. Ripley so shaun you were on the right track.I ran all the way in the way to MoMA to see this yesterday and it was SOLD OUT. Sadness. Oh to see Alain Delon on a big screen.
Yeah, I put it together after hitting submit...I knew it was of Ripley but not Ripley ;o)
