Think of the likes of Tykwer or Gavin Hood (<I>Rendition</I> after Oscar-winning <I>Tsotsi</I>) and many others. And they don't seem like logical progressions either, especially in Hood's case.<BR/><BR/>"Back in the day" a director would just keep making movies in their home country until <B>maybe</B> they decided to make an American movie.
