I'm actually really glad we got all of those photos of Jake shooting his Road House re-do at a real MMA fight last year (see them here) because it gave us enough advanced warning that this would be one of his shaved body roles -- I have already mourned his beautiful chest hair, and moved on, and now I can look at these...
... our first images from the thing with clearer, happier eyes. It's not a lot to see but Amazon Prime has released a clip-reel to highlight what they've got coming out next year and there are a few seconds of Road House (which Go director Doug Liman director directed, don't forget!) to see in there alongside... whatever, I don't know, I fast-forwarded to the Road House part. Earlier this week we got a date for Road House which I tweeted but forget to post proper about -- it's hitting Prime on March 21st. I read somewhere else that Liman & Gyllenhaal tried to convince the stupid studio people to give the thing a theatrical release and they said no, so I think this'll be it. Guess we'll see what happens...

ReplyDeleteI'm less bothered by the waxing and more by the mild but definite early stage roid gut. Jake's been juicing. Which is not something I'm morally opposed to but I hope he stops or at least changes his choice of stack before he goes full tortoise-shell.
