I remember seeing this for the first time when I was 12 or 13 years old thinking it would be a "kids" movie (Disney, magic, dragons, etc) and my adolescent self was shocked at both the nudity (a young nubile Peter MacNicol) and the graphic violence (baby dragons chomping down on virginal princesses). I loved both
