Don't Cry For Me, Mexicano

.
In honor of today's Cinco de Mayo celebration I decided to watch myself some Mexican Horror Movies this past week -- I consulted this fine list from the fine folks at Vulture for an idea of where to begin -- and so today's entry in my "Great Moments in Horror Actressing" series at The Film Experience is devoted to the best bit I did see; click on over for my thoughts on the terrifying legend of the so-called "crying woman" La Llorona and her many cinematic incarnations over the decades...

I recommend you watch 2 of Carlos Enrique Taboada's films: Hasta el viento tiene miedo(original version, please; they butchered the remake), and El Libro de piedra...I watched those films for the first time many years ago, and they still send chills down my spine when I watch them now
