I don't know about you but I love it when Halloween falls in the middle of a week, because then you get to celebrate it for two weekends instead of just one. Not that I did much Halloween-themed this weekend myself since I am mummy-old, but I did catch up several of the scary movies I'd recorded off of TCM, one of which was Tod Browning's 1935 film Mark of the Vampire, which I'd weirdly never seen until now. Have you ever seen it? I have yet to see a Tod Browning movie I haven't liked, and that remains true with this one -- if you click on over to The Film Experience today I had more to say about it, specifically about its leading lady Elizabeth Allan. And PS you should totally google up some promotional photos for this film, as Bela Lugosi is having a ton of fun in them.

Finally caught Tod Browning's MARK OF THE VAMPIRE thanks to TCM this weekend and unholy terror this shot made me want to crawl over my seat in 2019 -- I can only imagine what it did to folks in 1935 pic.twitter.com/zUoACUo0zH— Jason Adams (@JAMNPP) November 4, 2019
