Two things are true today. One, it's my boyfriend's birthday, and he loves Flash Gordon. (Most specifically Queen's soundtrack for Flash Gordon.) So let's all wish my boyfriend a happy -- AHH! AHHHHHH! -- birthday. And the second thing that's true today is today is also the 100th anniversary of the birth of the super producer Dino De Laurentiis, who produced Flash Gordon, among many many many other movies. Not the greatest sf ever but I love Ornella Muti as Princess Aura, Max Von Sydow as Ming, the great contribution by Danilo Donati and, of course, the soundtrack
