Quote of the Day

.
"I showed it to Quentin Tarantino. We’ve been friends since our jury duty at the Venice Film Festival. I was nervous but eager to hear his advice. We saw it at his place and his reaction warmed me. He was enthusiastic about it, in the end he was crying and hugged me. Because it’s a horror movie but also a melodrama, my goal was to make you look at the horror without being able to take [your eyes off the screen] because you’re captivated by the characters. Amazon is very happy.”

-- That's Suspiria director Luca Guadagnino (he also made some movie, Call Me something or other, I don't know) talking to IndieWire about screening the movie for QT recently. I don't put a ton of stock in the opinions of people who, number one and most importantly, are not me, and you should be the same way. I mean for yourself. Although listening to my opinion is also smart! Anyway we'll all see for ourselves come November 2nd. In related news I got to see the Suspiria trailer on the big screen this weekend when I went back to see Hereditary a fourth time and oh my goodness does it look and sound swell. Oh my goodness, does it.
