Great Moments In Movie Shelves #145

.
While you don't actually see the stacks just outside of frame in this shot of the Library of Congress in All the President's Men I think you'll allow me this indulgence today, especially with the way the world feels ripped from all of the 70s political thrillers these days. One day, if we exist in the future I mean, maybe we'll get our own spiffy tracking shot. Have you ever visited the Library of Congress in D.C.? I did a couple of years ago for the first time but this exact spot was closed to gawkers; we had to stare down at it from the side.

Such an amazing and evocative shot. It silently made the impact of how large their task was against the enormity of the cover-up while being visually dazzling.
