Greatness Via Gerwig & Co

.
I caught two trailers I'd been dying to catch this past weekend before seeing Lucky Logan (more on that later, maybe) -- there was the trailer for Mike White's upcoming movie Brad's Status, which was an awful trailer (not that a poorly cut trailer will keep me away from a Mike White movie - I am sure the film itself is infinitely smarter than what they cut together), and there was the trailer for Greta Gerwig's directorial debut Lady Bird, which was the exact opposite - brilliant, leaving me immediately wanting. Clearly the same person who cut A24's infinitely watchable trailer for 20th Century Women cut this one. Watch!
.
.
Lady Bird is screening at the New York Film Festival next month, which I'll be covering for The Film Experience again this year (see below hooray again) so stay tuned for my thoughts on it then. It gets a proper release in theaters on November 10th.

Looks gorgeous. Might Laurie Metcalf be snatching Pfeiffer's oscar?

/braces for the backlash...but Frances Ha is so far up its own ass. This, however, looks great and mostly due to Laurie Metcalf.

I'm so excited for this film! And Saorise and Timothee look uber beautiful in this.
