Requisite Oscar Post

So it's Oscar weekend (I mean Independent Spirit Weekend... hahaha no) and all I have to say is one of the people in that picture had better have a statue in their hands before the show's over or the internet will feel my wrath come Monday. Apparently only one of them's even got a shot, because this is a backwards world - I s'pose Michael's already got a golden little man that he can take out and stroke any time he wants to, so fuck 'em. 

I usually do a list of things I want to see happen on the show but I'm not really feeling it right now - the fact that there's a really good shot that I will entirely loathe all of the male actors getting on stage has kind of soured me. The ladies are making up for it, some, but what I really want to see is Cate Blanchett grabbing Greta Gerwig by the hand, dragging her onto the stage, and saying, "Really, she deserves this. This is yours, mate." So here's a picture of Greta.

I do wanna hear what y'all are looking forward to at the show though so tell me in the comments. Fingers crossed that Ellen's a good host, and all that jazz. I will no doubt be live-tweeting them as they happen, getting progressively more drunk and more belligerent as the night goes on - tis tradition.
