You put the knives in like that to avoid cutting up the plastic at the bottom of the tray and dulling the knives. My mother used to do it that way until one of us kids fell on the open dishwasher. True story.
No, my mother was not a child abuser. Or an Iraqi assassin.
I get so angry if anyone puts any silverware pointing up like that. We have a communal dishwasher here in my office and there's always this stray fork pointing upwards just begging to be shoved beneath my fingernail as I put things away. AGH it drives me nuts.
in a motel room, no less! SUCH shoddy screenwriting. i was overall pretty disappointed in the episode, although on another level i totally loved it. here's my take:
It is better for the longevity of your knife's blade to wash it that way, though it's even better for them to just hand wash them and avoid running them through the washing machine.
every right thinking ninja assassin I know

ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to be better for washing purposes, but I have a big old scar on my right hand to demonstrate why you shouldn't do it.
ReplyDeleteLazy screenwriters.
ReplyDeleteI had a flatmate who always used to put them in like that. I was always poking my hands on them. Stupid cow.

This was my favorite moment of the episode. It was a kick as fight scene. I give credit them credit for a new kill format.
