my new plaid pants: Colin Farrell's Gratuitous Birthday Suite

I find it hard to believe that I've never done a proper gratuitous post on Colin Farrell. But it's true! So let's just get this outta the way: I love Colin Farrell. Yes, he may've seemingly disappeared from the world stage following the firestorm that was the Miami Vice shoot and then that whole sex-tape debacle (and "debacle" is the word I imagine his publicist would use; the word I use is "gift") and his rehab stint and yadda yadda he seemed a mess and good on him for apparently having cleaned up his act and just gone to focus on his work. Boy's got talent, it just got obscured by bad wigs and drinking binges. He's in Woody Allen's upcoming flick, Cassandra's Dream, in which he and Ewan McGregor (swoon) play brothers, and though the film apparently wasn't rapturously received at Cannes I'm sure we'll see it somewhere down the line. Anyway, Colin turns 31 today (it does seem odd that he's only a year older than me... hard living...) and I hope he has a lovely day off with his son somewhere quiet, sane, and sober. Anyway yeah... picture-time!
