We Have A Winner

//

The people have spoken! In the poll for "What Was the Greatest Movie of 1999?", y'all have crowned Being John Malkovich as 1999's greatest. I find it hard to find any fault with that choice.

Here's how the chips fell after a week o' polling:

There was no love shown for Oscar winner for Best Picture American Beauty, Hilary Swank-upon-us-thruster Boys Don't Cry, The Cider House Rules (gag), The Green Mile, The Insider, The Matrix, The Sixth Sense, Sleepy Hollow, Star Wars: Episode I (thank god), and Toy Story 2.

I was surprised that The Blair Witch Project tied for second along with Magnolia and Election; most people I know seem to revile Blair Witch.

But your top 4 are definitely, probably, my top 4 for '99 as well. So go you!

Well that was fun. Hope to do another "something" soon. You can check out the rest of the "I Love 1999" stuff here, if you missed it.
